I specialize in glass enameling on copper.  Also called, vitreous enameling or copper enameling.  Enameling is an ancient art found in egyption jewelry, roman jewelry and many other ancient civilations.

My process is multi-stepped and almost always time consuming.   Time very well spent in my opinion.  I have been enameling for over 8 years and have perfected a certain style I refer to as "Wireless Clossione".  I will fire one piece multiple times, layer by layer of finely ground glass, in my kiln.   I achieve crisp designs because of this process.   I also use very tiny paint brushes to move the wet glass where I want it to be.  Inveritably it will go where I don't want it to, one small speck of color, that will have to be ground down with a grinding stone or with my dremel.  Applying enamel with a brush does take longer but it's a process of love and it is safer for me vs. sifting the powered glass.

I create mostly earrings and pendants.  I will make sets and stand a lone pieces.   In fact, my Aspire line of jewelry consists almost exclusively of pendants.  The Aspire pendants are particulary meaningful to me as an artist.  The process of creating new designs rest with the brush, enamel, copper and my mood.  It really feels like playing, I don't know what each piece will look like when I start.

I design the Aspire designs with the intention of having the owner wear it to remind them to work on a personal or business goal.  We accomplish a lot more when we actually work and think about our goals in life right?  I know I do.  I suggest picking a design that appeals to you, that you will want to wear frequently.   Our goals in life change but our jewelry doesn't have to.  No one will know what your personal goals are unless you tell them.  I have just one question for you.  What do you Aspire?
